Any service specifically agreed with a client in writing may be subject to additional agreed terms.

4. Nature of Our Services

Shaping Success Stories provides career coaching, mentorship, guidance and professional development support.

We are not an employer and do not make recruitment decisions on behalf of employers.

Unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing, our services do not constitute recruitment or placement services, legal advice, immigration advice, financial advice or any guarantee of employment.

Clients remain responsible for their own career decisions, applications, communications with employers and acceptance or rejection of employment opportunities.

5. Payment Terms

Payment must be made in accordance with the price and payment arrangements agreed when purchasing a service or mentorship package.

Unless an instalment arrangement has been expressly agreed, payment is required before services commence.

Where payment by instalments has been agreed, the client remains responsible for making each agreed payment by its due date.

Failure to make an agreed payment may result in future sessions or services being suspended until the outstanding balance is paid.

Prices and applicable taxes will be displayed or communicated at the time of purchase.

6. Refund Policy

Once a mentorship package has been purchased and the first mentorship session has commenced, the mentorship package and all associated fees are non-refundable.

Our mentorship programmes involve significant professional time, preparation, assessment, research, strategy development and allocation of resources from the beginning of the engagement.

For this reason, once the first mentorship session has commenced, no refund will be provided for the mentorship package, including for remaining or unused sessions if the client subsequently decides not to continue with the programme.

For individual services or sessions outside a mentorship package, any cancellation or refund conditions communicated at the time of booking will apply.

Nothing in this Refund Policy is intended to limit or remove any statutory cancellation, refund or other consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable Irish or European Union law.

7. Cancellation, Rescheduling and No-Shows

Clients should provide at least 48 hours’ notice if they need to cancel or reschedule a scheduled session.

Where sufficient notice is provided, we will make reasonable efforts to reschedule the session.

Where a client fails to attend a scheduled session without prior notice, or provides less than 48 hours’ notice, the session may be treated as used and deducted from the client’s package.

Repeated cancellations or rescheduling may affect our ability to continue providing the service.

If Shaping Success Stories needs to reschedule a session, we will make reasonable efforts to arrange a suitable alternative date and time.

8. No Guarantee of Job Offers, Interviews or Career Outcomes

Shaping Success Stories does not guarantee job offers, interviews, promotions, salary increases, employment sponsorship or any other specific career or recruitment outcome.

Our focus is to support and guide clients throughout their career journey by helping them improve areas including:

  • CV and application materials

  • LinkedIn profile and professional presence

  • Interview preparation and interview skills

  • Job-search strategy

  • Career planning

  • Professional positioning and personal branding

Career and recruitment outcomes depend on many factors outside our control, including a client’s experience, qualifications, skills, effort, consistency, application activity, interview performance, employer requirements, competition, recruitment decisions, right-to-work or employment eligibility requirements and prevailing labour-market conditions.

Our services therefore constitute career coaching, mentorship and professional development support and should not be interpreted as a guarantee of employment or recruitment success.

  • Providing accurate, truthful and up-to-date information.

Shaping Success Stories relies on information provided by the client and is not responsible for inaccuracies arising from incorrect, incomplete or misleading information supplied by the client.

10. CV, LinkedIn and Application Materials

We may recommend, draft, edit or optimise CVs, LinkedIn profiles, cover letters and other career-related materials.

Clients are responsible for reviewing and approving the final content before publishing, submitting or otherwise using it.

We will not knowingly create false qualifications, employment history, achievements or experience.

The client remains responsible for ensuring that all claims and information contained in their career documents accurately represent their background and experience.

11. Third-Party Platforms and Employers

Our services may involve guidance relating to third-party platforms or organisations such as LinkedIn, job boards, recruitment agencies and employers.

Shaping Success Stories does not control these third parties and is not responsible for:

  • Changes to their platforms, policies or algorithms

  • Account restrictions or suspensions

  • Recruitment or hiring decisions

  • Employer responses or lack of responses

  • Job vacancies being changed, withdrawn or filled

  • Decisions relating to employment permits, visas or sponsorship

Clients remain responsible for complying with the terms and policies of any third-party platform they use.

12. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, templates, guides, frameworks, training materials, presentations, resources, methodologies and other materials created by Shaping Success Stories remain our intellectual property.

Materials supplied to clients are for their personal use only unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Clients may not reproduce, publish, distribute, sell, commercially exploit, share or provide our proprietary materials to third parties without prior written permission.

Documents specifically created for an individual client, such as their completed CV or LinkedIn content, may be used by that client for their personal career and job-search purposes.

13. Confidentiality

We treat information shared during coaching and mentorship sessions as confidential and use it for the purpose of providing our services, subject to our Privacy Policy and applicable legal obligations.

Clients should avoid sharing passwords, financial account credentials or other information that is unnecessary for the provision of career services.

14. Testimonials, Reviews and Case Studies

We may invite clients to provide reviews, testimonials or feedback.

Where a testimonial, photograph, identifiable client story or case study is used for promotional or marketing purposes, appropriate permission will be obtained where required.

Providing a testimonial does not affect the services provided to a client.

Where performance statistics, testimonials, success stories or previous client outcomes are displayed, they represent historical experiences and do not guarantee that another client will achieve the same or similar results.

15. Limitation of Liability

We aim to provide our services professionally and with reasonable care and skill.

However, Shaping Success Stories cannot control employer decisions, recruitment processes, labour-market conditions or other third-party actions.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we will not be responsible for losses arising solely from an employer’s or third party’s decision, a client’s failure to follow guidance, inaccurate information provided by a client, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including any statutory consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

16. Suspension or Termination of Services

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate services where a client:

  • Fails to make agreed payments.

  • Engages in abusive, threatening, discriminatory or inappropriate behaviour.

  • Repeatedly fails to attend scheduled sessions.

  • Misuses our materials or intellectual property.

  • Provides deliberately false or misleading information.

  • Seriously breaches these Terms & Conditions.

Any outstanding payment obligations or other provisions intended to continue after termination will remain applicable where legally enforceable.

17. Website Usage

Users must not misuse our website, attempt unauthorised access, introduce malware, interfere with its operation or use it for unlawful or fraudulent purposes.

We may restrict access where we reasonably believe the website or our services are being misused.

18. Privacy and Data Protection

Personal information is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection legislation, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Please refer to our separate Privacy Policy for information about how we collect, use, retain and protect personal data and how individuals can exercise their data-protection rights.

19. Changes to Services and Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions periodically to reflect changes to our services, business practices or applicable legal requirements.

The latest version will be published on our website with an updated revision date.

Where appropriate, the terms applicable at the time a client purchases a service will continue to govern that purchase.

20. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Ireland.

Any dispute will be dealt with in accordance with applicable Irish law and applicable consumer-protection rules.

Nothing in this provision removes any mandatory jurisdiction or consumer rights available to a consumer under applicable law.
